Senior QA Automation Engineer

Are you proud of building and maintaining automated tests? WebCreek is hiring a QA Automation Engineer to join one of the world's leading IT development companies.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build automation frameworks and run automation test cases to ensure the overall quality of mobile, web, and desktop applications
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies and test scenarios for features within an Agile development environment
  • Identify and track defects in the tracking system
  • Perform smoke tests, unit tests, regression tests, and integration tests
  • Report results 
  • Ensure that product releases comply with the requirements
  • Apply best practices and standards to the testing process
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs
  • Monitor the debugging process results
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system
  • requirements
  • Track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience as an automation tester
  • Extensive skills in Selenium
  • Strong knowledge in .NET Framework and C#  for test automation
  • Must have SQL skills
  • Experience building a framework from scratch
  • Proficiency in performing automation regression test cases
  • Experience with mobile, desktop, and web application testing
  • Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing and tools 
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Experience working with Cucumber is a plus
  • Good knowledge of scripting 
  • Experience working with different databases
  • Experience using Jira or similar defect-tracking tools
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of QA best practices
  • Broad knowledge of quality control/testing within the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must be willing to work 8 AM to 5 PM CST
